Women’s Rights!
Imagine having a very nice job that pays $25 per hour. You have a male co-worker; You and your male co-worker have the same job title and work equally as hard. Yet, you find out that your male co-worker is earning $1 every .80$ you make, is that fair? Women should be proud; they have managed to fight for their rights. The percentage of women in the workplace, has increased from 59% in 1970 to 72% in 1995, this is a accelerating pace for women. Recently the percentages have slowed down in going up. Did you know that the male managers in the health sector earn approximately $222 more per week then women managers? Also, Men in the education sector earn about $288 more per week than there female co-workers. I could do A LOT with $288 per week, Couldn’t you? 
The big issue is “women’s Inequality in the workplace.” Women are earning 20-30% less than men, even with the same job title and just as much hard work. This disturbs single mother households by A LOT. Single mothers who have a job as a teacher would come back with about 27% less than possibly a single dad would. This issue disturbs me, When I found out about this immediately the question that came to my head was “Aren’t we all equal, I thought this changed?” well, if you’re asking that question the answer is No.
There is actually a law about “Inequality” However, this law is not enforced. If we could enforce this law, “Inequality” wouldn’t be a problem. Men AND Women would soon be equal, most of all it would benefit single mothers, the mother would bring home 20-30% more than she brought home last time, My mom (who is also a single mother) Is always talking about what a relief it is knowing that all the bills are paid, the house is clean, that she recently went to the grocery store so she doesn’t have to go again. To all the single mothers who are reading this, wouldn’t this be awesome!? A society with more equality is a happier society.
