I became Vegetarian.

Well, I guess I really became peskitarian. I eat fish, not meat thats a peskitarian!

Wanna know why?

*Don't watch the video it's to painful*
http://www.peta.org/feat/ChineseFurFarms/index.asp

I will explain the process below:

With a hidden camera, animals were filmed being

SKINNED ALIVE!!! They say it's done to get a more

perfect ''cut''. Afterwards the carcasses are tossed into a pile, still alive, and

for up to 10 minutes you can see their hearts still

beating, in agony, their eyes still blinking, and the puppies little

paws still shaking.

There was one pup, that still lifted his head and

gazed at the camera with bloodied eyes .

Now, Mind you, At first I didn't know what was going on, so I looked more into it. Or,I guess my mom did. Terrible...So sad....Terrible. Well, If anything I am telling you makes you want to become a Vegiatarian and your family's not, (hopefully this will make your family become one too) Here are some recipes for Vegetarians! (Still wanna look into meat process? heres some more links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylQxMXpG__w&feature=fvst, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l4iCxyuNJI&playnext=1&list=PL7E0ECD085085B065)

Vegetarian Recipe you may want to try out:

*Brazilian Black Bean Soup:*
Begin soaking beans atleast 4 hours before assembling. One hour to prepare (not including bean-cooking time)
2 cups dry black beans 3 1/2 cups of water or stock 2 tsp. salt

A B
1 cup of chopped onion 2 oranges; peeled, sectioned, seeded.
3 cloves crushed garlic 1/2 cup of orange juice
1 large, chopped carrot 1 tbs. dry sherry
1 stalk chopped celery 1/4 tsp. black pepper
(optional: 1 cup chopped green pepper) 1/4 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. ground coriander 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
(2 tbs. oil, approx.)

1. Rinse the beans. Cover them with water, and let them soak several hours. Pour off excess water. place in saucepan with 3 1/2 cups water or stock and salt. Bring to a boil, cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours over very low heat.

2. Saute group A, beginning with onions and garlic. If necessary, add a little water to the vegetables to steam them along. When everything seems just as it should be, add saute to the beans. Let the soup continue to simmer over lowest possible heat.

3. Add group B to the soup. Give it a stir, cover, and sit down for 10 minutes. Now, Return to the soup, refreshed, Look at it and ask yourself if this soup suits you. Is it too thick? Add water. Do you want it thicker, heartier? You can puree some or all of it in the blender. You can make it hotter with more red pepper.

*Served topped with sour cream or yogurt*

Enjoy! (I hope these instructions were easy-ish to follow!)

Women’s Rights!
Imagine having a very nice job that pays $25 per hour. You have a male co-worker; You and your male co-worker have the same job title and work equally as hard. Yet, you find out that your male co-worker is earning $1 every .80$ you make, is that fair? Women should be proud; they have managed to fight for their rights. The percentage of women in the workplace, has increased from 59% in 1970 to 72% in 1995, this is a accelerating pace for women. Recently the percentages have slowed down in going up. Did you know that the male managers in the health sector earn approximately $222 more per week then women managers? Also, Men in the education sector earn about $288 more per week than there female co-workers. I could do A LOT with $288 per week, Couldn’t you? 
The big issue is “women’s Inequality in the workplace.” Women are earning 20-30% less than men, even with the same job title and just as much hard work. This disturbs single mother households by A LOT. Single mothers who have a job as a teacher would come back with about 27% less than possibly a single dad would. This issue disturbs me, When I found out about this immediately the question that came to my head was “Aren’t we all equal, I thought this changed?” well, if you’re asking that question the answer is No.
There is actually a law about “Inequality” However, this law is not enforced. If we could enforce this law, “Inequality” wouldn’t be a problem. Men AND Women would soon be equal, most of all it would benefit single mothers, the mother would bring home 20-30% more than she brought home last time, My mom (who is also a single mother) Is always talking about what a relief it is knowing that all the bills are paid, the house is clean, that she recently went to the grocery store so she doesn’t have to go again. To all the single mothers who are reading this, wouldn’t this be awesome!? A society with more equality is a happier society.
